Hello,
I know that somebody would compare the opera way of singing these songs with the POP way.
Yes! It is true that singing POP ways can also be as Feeling as Opera.
However, not everybody could sing like Elvis. Therefore, if I cannot find another Elvis then I rather listen to Opera stars.
Besides, some of the songs can only be good in opera way because of the texture of the voice(s) which the composers had had in their mind. (Farinelli, for instance).
What is great for some singers is that they could use both techniques in expressing the songs, and depending on the circumstances, they would choose the appropriate technique. Charlotte Church was one of them, unfortunately she seemed to lost her high register (perhaps due to stress of recording), after a while.
